Poinsett Bridge - South Carolina

With Poinsett Bridge's beautiful stone structure and pointed arch underpass, it appears like something straight out of a story book, but it is rumored to be the most haunted bridge in the entire state. Visitors report a great amount of paranormal activity around the bridge at night, including the sound of screaming and flashing lights emanating from underneath the archway. Some have even claimed that their vehicles would stall out when they tried to leave. Click here to see pictures of this historic (and possibly haunted) structure.

Drummond Bridge - Tennessee

This bridge was the site of a blood-filled battle between unhappy coal miners and those sent on behalf of the Tennessee Coal Mining Company. After this battle Richard Drummond, a young miner who had supposedly killed soldier during the fight, was sentenced to hanging and his punishment was carried out on what would later come to be called Drummond Bridge. Today the bridge is said to be haunted by his ghost. Animals are reportedly wary to go on or near the bridge and some have claimed to have seen an apparition of Richard Drummond, while others have claimed to have heard the last ragged breaths of the condemned man.
